Later in the project, more internship positions in Wales and Finland will be announced.

About the host institutions

Sequences Real-Time Art Festival is a ten-day biennial for contemporary art in Reykjavík, Iceland. Founded in 2006, Sequences began as an annual event before transitioning to a biennial format in 2011. The festival has evolved into a significant platform for Icelandic contemporary art by connecting local artists with those from around the world.

Sequences’ subtitle, “real-time art festival,” refers to the festival’s original emphasis on real-time and time-based media. Today, the festival’s historical significance and purpose as an artist-led initiative are honoured, as are the underlying themes of real-time and time-based media.

Sequences is a collective initiative by Kling & BangThe Living Art Museum, and the Icelandic Art Center.
