
Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) announces open call to find a graphic designer for the Estonian pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale, opening in April 2026. Estonia is represented by artist Merike Estna.
Key design responsibilities:
- Visual identity of the exhibition
- Exhibition catalogue
- Exhibition materials, such as press release, exhibition text, wall text etc
- Materials for social media and press
- Banners in Venice city
- Design of exhibition merch
- Managing the production and printing of all graphic materials
To apply, please submit your portfolio, motivational letter and 1-3 design drafts by 10 March to post@cca.ee.
The motivational letter must articulate the applicant’s motivation to work with the artist and the project and outline key ideas for the visual identity of the pavilion.
Additionally, 1-3 sketches (no more than 3 pages each) must be submitted that would provide initial sketches for the visual identity (e.g. designs for poster, catalogue cover or banner), based on Merike Estna’s recent work. The sketches should indicate the designer’s thinking in relation to the artist’s work.
The visual identity and all materials will be developed in close collaboration with Merike Estna and the team of the CCA.
