Kunsti- ja kultuuriväljaandjate võrgustik Arts and Culture Magazine Publishers Forum (ACMPF) kuulutab välja avatud konkursi kunstist kirjutajatele ning kutsub osalema uurimisreisile Reykjavíki.
Arts and Culture Magazine Publishers Forum on võrgustik, mis ühendab Balti- ja Põhjamaades tegutsevaid kunsti- ja kultuuriajakirju. Võrgustikku kuuluvad Kaasaegse Kunsti Eesti Keskuse väljaantav A Shade Colder (Eesti), Artnews.lt ja Echo Gone Wrong (Leedu), EDIT (Soome), Kunstkritikk (Norra), Art in Iceland (Island) ja WunderKombinats (Läti). Võrgustiku eesmärk on hoida ja arendada suhtlust Balti- ja Põhjamaades ilmuvate väljaannete vahel ning nende kontakte kirjutajatega, jagada teadmisi ja kogemusi, et tulla paremini toime kultuuriväljaannete igapäevatöös esinevate väljakutsetega ja leida neile lahendusi ning tuua lugejateni uute ja põnevate kirjutajate looming.
Avatud konkurss on mõeldud kirjutajatele, kriitikutele ja kultuurajakirjanikele, kes soovivad osaleda võrgustiku Arts and Culture Magazine Publishers Forumi kolmandal uurimisreisil Reykjavíki 2026. aasta 14.–16. oktoobril. Uurimisreiside käigus tutvutakse lähemalt erinevate väljaannetega ning Balti- ja Põhjamaade kunstiväljadega. Kandidaadilt eeldatakse huvi ja ambitsiooni töötada mitte üksnes enda kohalikul, vaid ka laiemal Balti- ja Põhjamaade kunstiväljal.

General Conditions
Applicants must be based in the Nordic and/or Baltic region, including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Åland.
The selected writer is expected to be available for the full duration of the network research trip (3 to 5 days) in Reykjavík, scheduled for 14-16 October 2026.
Travel to and from Reykjavík, accommodation and meals during the programme will be covered by the network. In addition, the selected writer will receive a 500 EUR participation fee.
Following the research trip, the writer will be invited to develop at least one piece of critical writing in dialogue with the network. The text will be considered for publication in one or more ACMPF-affiliated platforms. Publication fee will be agreed upon with the respective publisher(s) in accordance with their editorial standards.
Applications can be submitted by 12 June 2026 (midnight, EET time) to: artnews@artnews.lt. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews in June 2026.
Each application must include:
– A brief letter of motivation outlining the applicant’s interests and reasons for applying
– A selection of published works (up to 3 texts). Submissions may be in any of the network’s languages; at least one text in English is preferred.
– An up-to-date CV.
By applying, applicants agree that their contact details will be shared among the ACMPF network members for the purpose of the selection process. We are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback, but applicants will be notified once the selection process is completed.
The Arts and Culture Magazine Publishers Forum (ACMPF) is supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture. This open call is the final of three in relation to the ACMPF annual research trips. Previous trips have taken place in Finland/Estonia, Oslo and now Reykjavík.
